本報告では食料消費サイドのベースラインを提示する.課題は次の3点である.(1)日本の家計が経験してきた戦後の食生活の変化を考察して,その規定要因を明らかにする.(2)今後の国産農産物需要の見通しを明らかにする.(3)家計と農業の連携(家計による持続的な国産農産物の需要)の可能性を探る.結論は以下のとおりである.(1)戦後の食生活を主に規定した要因は栄養学的な要因ではなく,経済的要因である.(2)このままの状態では,家計の食料消費における国産農産物需要の割合は減少していく.(3)今後,家計が持続的に国産農産物を需要して,家計と農業が連携していくためには,国内農業の生産効率を向上させる必要がある.

Land fragmentation is a major obstacle to agricultural productivity improvement in Japan. Land Consolidation Banks (LCBs), which were established in each prefecture of Japan in 2014, aim to facilitate land consolidation and reduce land fragmentation. Many qualitative studies have been conducted to evaluate the performance of LCBs. However, few papers shed empirical light on the relationship between land fragmentation and LCBs due to the lack of adequate data. In this paper, we have created data from a large sample of farm plots in Hyogo Prefecture, processing these data using GIS software to calculate the degree of land fragmentation and quantitatively clarify the effects of the LCB in the prefecture on the improvement of land consolidation. The farmland plot data was created in the following manner : Data from the “Agricultural Land Information System” was collected using the web scraping method, these data then being attached to cadaster data in the targeted areas. The large sample of farmersʼ plots revealed that farmers who cultivate relatively large areas of farmland in the targeted areas had succeeded in enlarging their average plot size but had not succeeded in reducing the distance between plots. In addition, we applied propensity score matching to evaluate the impacts of the LCB in Hyogo Prefecture on the enlargement of farm size and on the reduction of land fragmentation. The econometric analysis based on community level data showed that the LCB has contributed to the transfer of farmland but has not contributed to the consolidation of spatially dispersed plots.

The objective of this study is to compare the characteristics of food consumption in fatherless and motherless households by examining expenditure elasticities of their household food consumption. Expenditure elasticities are estimated with Engel functions using corresponding data from the National Survey of Family Income and Expenditure. The main finding of this study suggests that motherless households spend relatively more money for eating out, so as to save time. In other words, motherless households deeply depend on outsourcing their meals. On the other hand, fatherless households tend to eat homemade meals mainly for the purpose of saving money.

<p>The objective of this paper is to attract attention to the violation of Engel's law in recent household consumption in Japan. In this paper, the Working-Leser type Engel function was etimated by using the age group of household head micro data. Although the empirical study suggests a violation of Engel's law mainly from the downward bias caused by the omission of imputed rent, the violation was still observed in the estimation with the corrected data.</p>

日本農業経済学会の大会シンポジウムは,過去の24回のうち,時事問題が17回を占め,平均して50歳前後の報告者とコメンテーターで担われてきた.その結果,実証による批判的検討を重ねてきた学会の特徴が,しだいに希薄化した.こうした状況の中で,従来からの懸案である「本誌投稿数の低迷」は改善されず,新たに「若手研究者のシンポジウム離れ」が進行している.本報告では,学会が1)政策談議好きグループ,2)業績好きグループ,3)研究好きグループの3つに分断され,「合成の誤謬」が生じている現状を指摘し,若手の研究者・行政担当者を報告者に,中堅・シニア研究者を討論者に起用することで,企画担当の立場から改善策を提示した.

学校給食法は、学校給食にかかる食材費等は、保護者に負担の義務があることを規定している。しかし、最近、学校給食費を納めようとしない一部保護者の存在が問題となっている。食事と教育がセットになった学校給食は、いわば学校単位のクラブ財であると考えられるので、一部に「ただ乗り」が発生すると、その影響がクラブ(学校)全体に及んでしまう。以下、第2節では、文部科学省『学校給食費の徴収状況に関する調査』を用いて、生活困窮に関わる経済変数が給食費の未納率をどの程度説明できるか、簡単な回帰分析からチェックする。次に、第3節でクラブ財としての学校給食と家族の規範意識との関係をモデル分析から考察する。以上の作業によって、給食費未納問題と規範意識との関係を検討することが本稿の課題である。

本研究の目的は,少子高齢化と食の安全性をキーワードとして,消費者需要を中心に生産や国際貿易などフードシステム全般のメカニズムを経済分析により明らかにすることである.主な研究成果として,代表者の独自モデルLA/QUAIDSによって,都市別・月別の疑似パネルデータを推定し,少子高齢化が食料需要に与える影響を明らかにした.また,需要システムの新たな独自モデルを複数提案し,さらに食料生産の計量経済分析や国際貿易の応用ミクロ経済分析等を実施した
