The damage tests of microprocessors were carried out under γ-rays. The PIC microprocessors produced by Microchip Technology Inc are inexpensive and popular CPU. so that they are used in autonomous small robots.Under γ-rays,we tested the reliability of the PIC12F675 and PIC16F84A that belonged to mid-renge of the 8-bit PIC microprocessor's family. The source of γ-rays was Cesium 137.The source of γ-rays was mounted on the PIC directly.The PIC's plastic package was scraped by 0.7 mm in order to increase the exposure dose of the γ-rays to silicon chip in the plastic package of PIC. The LEDs connected to I/O Ports of the PIC were blinked by programs,Which was monitored by video camera.Seven days radiation ofγ-rays did not affect the function of PIC microproccssors.

Sota Fujii is a professional shogi player who has achieved renewal of historical records. As Fujii is a young man, his brain is in the growing stage. Therefore his ability of shogi is improving with his brain growth. Analysis using shogi AI characterizes the future of the player's shogi quantitatively. There is a possibility that we can detect the rapid growth of the young player by analyzing only a few games. In this study, Fujii's ability was evaluated by analysis of records of shogi using multiple shogi AI.

To improve security awareness of end-user, we designed and implemented the visualization system of packet header that represent the condition of network communication. We implemented our systems using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 with Winpcap library and the development traffic, protocol and the time it captured a packet.

The purpose of this research is to decrease the complicated selection operation in the Japanese input of a Personal Digital Assistant by using the Classified Examples Dictionary.Miniaturization technology for the Personal Digital Assistant using an interface without a keyboard has progressed.However,the method of a Japanese input is a problem.The Personal Digital Assistant has a characteristic interface using a small touch panel.Some techniques exist to help input characters.For example,the Graffiti,prediction conversion including POBox,etc. However,for any technique's writing a Japanese long sentence,especially a Japanese e-mail document,it becomes a big burden for a user.In many cases,e-mail documents are constituted combining certain sentences.So it is significant,if the dictionary which arranged many examples is drawn up and Japanese is inputted using that dictionary.In this paper,it is called The Classified Examples Dictionary.The purpose of this research is to ease a user's burden by using the dictionary.

In this study,we investigate the correlation between stock price and Web data.In previous research, it had been reported that there are some relation between the tweets of Twitter.Analysis of the Web data has shown that it is useful for the prediction of stock price from the result. We examine whether approach of previous research is useful for Web data in Japan.We also researched the correlation between stock price and Web data.We applay the negative-positive analysis to news articles of domestic news site. We quantified the article of domestic news sites to negative or positive of the two types of value emotional value,and analyzed the relationship between stock price.From the experimental results, we found that there is a certain tendency but it is difficult to show the correlation using only negativepositive analysis.

A molecular dynamics simulation was carried out in order to investigate a peculiar permanent densification phenomenon for SiO_2・K_2O・CaO・SrO glasses of an invert composition, i.e., the fraction of SiO_2 lower than 50 mol%. The phenomenon was previously observed by an experiment by high pressure treatment: the densities of permanently densified glasses exhibit a maximun value at 3 GPa (Kawamoto et al., J. Non-Cryst. Solids, 284, 128(2001)). In our simulation, the density profile was qualitatively reproduced: the density after decompression exhibits a maximum at treatment pressure 12 GPa. After decompression, the five-and six-coordinated Si species, which promote a network at high pressure, remain mostly at treatment pressure of 12 GPa, where the density exhibits a maximum.

In this paper,we construct the character search amusement demonstration system in explaining basic image processing techniques for the PBL lecture.At the Graduate School of Engineering,University of Fukui,new program for graduate student, PBL,starts on last October.One of lectures at the Deparment of Human and Artificial Intelligent Systems opens a copse,"Construction of amusement demonstration system in promoting an investigation" as one part of PBL. The main purpose of the lecture is to construct an amusement demonstration system which helps better understand in to our investigation for people. My major filed is in medicali image processing,and especially,I investigate 3D filter design for CT images in improving visibility RI capsules in prostate cancer treatrment. Then, in explaining my study for undergraducate students,it is important to induce intensest in image processing techniques.Therefore,we construct the character search amusement demonstration system. Through the lecture for 1st degree undergraduate students,I introduce major filed by means of the system.The system is quite to explain and almost students exhibit interest in my major filed.
