日本の原子力政策の渦中で産声をあげ,東京電力福島第一原子力発電所の過酷事故以降も,その多義性と曖昧性を武器に「原発の安全神話」や「放射線安全論」を人びとの心のなかに浸透させていく役割を担ってきた「風評被害」という言葉。本稿では,「風評被害」という名づけの行為に着目しつつ,現代日本社会におけるこの語にまつわる複数の異なる用法を批判的に分析し,その政治的社会的効果を明らかにする。第1には,「風評被害」という用語が,(1)生産者側の被害のみに焦点をあて,消費者側の被害や理性的なリスク回避行動をみえなくさせている点,及び(2)安全基準をめぐるポリティクスの存在やそのプロセスをみえなくさせている点である。第2には,「放射能より風評被害の方が怖い」という表現に象徴される,健康被害よりも経済的被害を重視する転倒が原子力損害賠償紛争審査会の方針にも見出され,本来の「(原発事故による)直接的な被害」が「風評被害」と名づけられることによって,放射線被曝による健康被害の過小評価や,事故による加害責任の他者への転嫁がなされている点。第3には,「汚染や被害の強調は福島県への差別を助長する」という風評被害による差別への批判が,反対に,甲状腺がんの多発という事実を隠蔽することによって甲状腺がんの患者への差別を引き起こしている,という構造的差別の存在を指摘する。

淀川(大阪府)では,2010年頃からヌートリアがイシガイ科貝類を捕食している.2012年9月〜2013年8月にかけて,八雲ワンド(守口市)でイシガイ類(イシガイNodularia douglasiaenipponensis,トンガリササノハガイLanceolaria grayana,ドブガイ属Sinanodonta spp.)の生貝及び合弁死殻を月ごとに採集し,捕食サイズや捕食率等の推定を試みた.採集されたイシガイの死殻の約70〜90%近くに捕食によるものと推定しうる傷があり,傷有り死殻の殻長の平均はすべての月において生貝の殻長平均よりも大きかった.これらの傾向はトンガリササノハガイの通年合計でも同様だった.生貝に傷が見られた例数はいずれの種でも0–3%未満だった.正確な比率の推定は難しいものの,調査地付近のイシガイとトンガリササノハガイの死亡要因の多くをヌートリアの捕食が占めている可能性は否定できない.また,ヌートリアは比較的大型のイシガイ類を好む傾向があると考えられる.イシガイ,トンガリササノハガイともに死殻の傷は左殻側よりも右殻側に多かったことから,調査地付近のヌートリアはイシガイ類を捕食する際に右殻側を手前にして開殻することが多いのかもしれない.ヌートリアによるイシガイ類の捕食は河川生態系への悪影響が懸念されることから,早急な対策が求められる.

Snake eels in the genus Myrichthys, characterized by molariform teeth, moderate to very elongate body, short snout, dorsal fin origin before gill openings, short pectoral fin, anterior nostrils tubular and elongate, posterior nostrils opening into mouth, and spotted and/or striped coloration, include 10 valid species and are commonly found along most tropical shores worldwide. Two species, Myrichthys colubrinus (Boddaert, 1781) [striped coloration] and Myrichthys maculosus (Cuvier, 1816) [spotted coloration], having been previously recorded from Japan, Myrichthys paleracio McCosker and Allen, 2012 is described here from two specimens found in the stomach contents of a sea snake Laticauda laticaudata (Linnaeus, 1758) from Iriomote Island, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, being the first speciemen-supported record of the species from Japan and the northernmost record of distribution. Myrichthys paleracio most closely resembles M. colubrinus in having striped body coloration, but differs in having 183 total vertebrae (vs. 193–202) and more than 50 irregularly patterned brown stripes (vs. 25–35 arranged in a regular pattern). The absence of an ethmoid pore on the head in one specimen was considered to be a malformation. A new standard Japanese name “Madara-shima-umihebi” proposed for the species. An underwater photograph of a snake eel from Yakushima Island, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan, was identified as M. paleracio.

In Japanese literature and art created during the age of modernism (1920s–1930s), the fantastic and supernatural events began to occur late at night in the middle of Japan’s modern cities, especially Tokyo. This was clearly contrasting the ghost or horror story of preceding era, in which the supernatural phenomena occur during the daytime in the deep mountains or dense forests remote from the town. This essay examines how this new tendency in literary fantasies—the ephemeral and surreal events of the urban nighttime — is inspired by the alternations in nocturnal lifestyle (e.g., night theater, cabaret, nocturnal stroll in the city) accompanying the urbanization after the Great Kantō earthquake in 1923. They reflect the changes in perceptions due to some technological innovations, such as streetlamps, electric illuminations, motorcars, trains, telephones, and especially, the cinema. The surreal visions and the real cityscapes often interpenetrate and are reversed around the strolling body with unreliable perceptions. The urban nocturnal life’s novel experiences, unstable perceptions caused by new technologies, and the anxiety from the contrast between the traditional and the modern form the matrix of the novel nocturnal fantasies represented in the literature and illustrations of the modernism era.

As an attempt to reduce the production costs of games with interactive stories using computer science methodologies this thesis proposes applying the model checking theory to game scenario verification. It enables systematic and automatic verification of consistency conditions such as reachability and freeness from infinite loops. The simplest model checking method enumerate all states explicitly. However as is well known the "state explosion problem" instantly occurs in this method. Thus we apply symbolic model checking techniques based on BDDs (Binary Decision Diagrams) and CTL (Computation Tree Logic) is adopted to represent specifications. By representing the state space symbolically we are able to deal with mass states are their relational operation as an logical formula and its logical operation. Nevertheless the computation time is still large. To reduce the time we focus on characteristics of game scenarios. The transition graph for a typical game scenario is divided into clusters more clearly than the ones for ordinary targets of model checking. The number of checked states is further reduced by the optimization with the live variable analysis.
