YBCO coated conductors attract attention because of their high critical current in high magnetic field conditions, hence calling for a suitable coil fabrication method. One of the critical problems associated with this process, however, is the negative impact on YBCO coil performance due to epoxy impregnation. Epoxy impregnation is an important technique to increase the mechanical strength and thermal conductivity of superconducting coils. However, the bonding strength of epoxy resin is stronger than the delamination strength of YBCO coated conductors in a certain direction. Therefore, thermal stress could damage epoxy impregnated YBCO coils. As a new impregnation material, we have focused on cyanoacrylate resin.

The purpose of this article is to examine the effects of electoral reform and tendency toward Duvergerian equilibrium in the lower house elections in Japan to voters. At first, using aggregate data of voting, we confirm the tendency to the Duvergerian equilibrium at the single-member district level. Next, in order to test the relationship between voter turnout and effective number of candidates (ENC) in the SMDs, we estimate OLS regression. After that, combining calculated the ENCs with survey datasets, we observe voters’ perception about satisfaction to election results, belief to function of election, and external efficacy.   Here we have two main findings. The one is the positive relationship between voter turnout and the ENCs at the SMDs. The other is the robustness of the voters’ perceptions to electoral reform and the tendency toward the Duvergerian equilibrium at the SMDs. From these findings, we conclude that Japanese voters do not share so pessimistic views as some critics to current electoral system and bi-partism. Simultaneously, we argue that we should be cautious of abstention and the validity of survey datasets.

摂食障害患者(神経性食欲不振症(Anorexia nervosa,AN):45例,神経性過食症(Bulima nervosa,BN):28例)が治療前に書いた文章完成テスト(Sentence Complete Test,SCT)を用いて家族関係を分析した.その中で次の3項目"私の父""私の母""家の人は私を"を対象とした.そしてSCTから見た家族関係は病型によって違いがあるか,また病態の慢性化に関わっているかを調査した.その結果,1)「私の父」に関する評価は,AN群が"父はやさしい"と肯定的に評価し,BN群との間に有意差(p<0.05)があった.2)「私の母」に関して,BN群は母親を否定的に評価し,AN群との間に有意差(p<0.05)があった.3)「家の人は私を…」に関して,AN群は"…してくれる"と家族を肯定的に評価し,BN群との間に有意差(p<0.05)があった.またBN群の患者はAN群に比して家族によって否定的に評価されている(p<0.05)とした.結論として,SCTから見た摂食障害の家族関係には病型による違いがあった.AN群では父性性が弱く,家族は過保護,過干渉的で,BN群は家族システムの変化〔核家族化,少子化,母親の就業など〕や高度経済成長に伴う物質的豊かさやマスコミなどの影響を受けて,家族の絆がよりほころびていた.このような家族の態度は摂食障害の慢性化を促すことに深く関わっていると考えられた.以上から摂食障害の治療において家族との関わりは一層重視されるべきである.

In the present research, our pump model is designed to visualize the jet flow near a notch of a valve plate in an axial piston pump. The cavitation cloud can be observed clearly using a high-speed video camera from the perpendicular direction to the axis and the direction of the jet flow and the area of the cavitation cloud are obtained. A valve plate with V-shaped groove type is used and the regions of the occurrence of the cavitation are analyzed using an image processing technique. Furthermore the computational fluid dynamics is employed using the 2-D vortex method combined with boundary element method to estimate the occurrence and the region of the cavitation cloud.

繁殖期のカワガラスの行動圏に関する調査を,2005年12月から2006年3月にかけて,京都府京都市の高野川流域にて行った.調査は,カラーリングを装着した4個体に対して,追い出し法による行動圏の調査と,タイムマッピング法による行動圏内の利用区域の調査を行った.その結果,造巣が開始される直前のつがい形成期には,1羽のオスの行動圏に2羽のメスの行動圏が形成された一夫二妻型の行動圏を形成した個体が観察された.このオスの行動圏は,他のオスの侵入により縮小し,結果的に一夫一妻での繁殖となったが,本種の一夫二妻の繁殖様式に発展する可能性があった事例だと考えられる.
