舌癌の正確な切除のためには術前に腫瘍の進展範囲についての情報が必要である。進展範囲は生体と切除標本超音波像を用いて計測された。二つの超音波像における腫瘍の進展範囲に関して相違は認められなかった。しかし,生体の超音波像と病理標本における腫瘍の進展範囲とは有意な差があった(<i>p</i> < 0.05)。しかしながら,生体超音波像の進展範囲とヘマトキシリンエオジン染色病理組織標本との間には大きさに関して有意な相関関係があった(<i>p</i> < 0.01)。さらに,回帰分析によると生体超音波像の腫瘍の進展範囲から病理標本の腫瘍の進展範囲を正確に予測することができた(<i>R</i>²:0.52~0.88)。<br>このように超音波検査で腫瘍の進展範囲を正確に把握することは舌癌の患者の外科切除を計画するための検査として有用な方法であることが示された。

To assess the malignant potential of tongue cancer by intraoral ultrasonography, we examined 22 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue. Ultrasongraphic findings of the lesions were evaluated with respect to shape, border, internal echo, marginal echo, and depth of invasion (usD). Except for 3 tumors with a pathologic depth of invasion (pD) of less than 1 mm, 19 of 22 tumors (86.4%) were detected as hypoechoic lesions on intraoral ultrasonography. When the ultrasonographic and clinicopathologic findings were compared, tumors with diffuse invasion exhibited irregular shapes and diffuse borders on ultrasonography. Tumors with neck metastasis showed irregular shapes, diffuse borders, and hyperechoic marginal echoes. In addition, there was a significant correlation between usD and pD. Seven (58.3%) of 12 tumors with invasion of 8.0mm or more on ultrasonography were associated with neck metastasis.In conclusion, intraoral ultrasonographic examination of tongue cancer provides information useful in evaluating tumor extent and malignant potential.

舌癌原発巣の深さは転移予知因子の一つであることを明らかにした。外科治療のみを行った70例の, 頸部転移陽性31例の深さの平均値は12.1mm, 陰性39例では6.1mmであった (p<0.05)。また, 遠隔転移発生の有無では20.2mmに対し6.6mmであった (p<0.01)。N0例の転移後発を高率に予知できれば選択的郭清の適応を決めるのに役立つ。70例のT1, 2N0 41例を深さ5mm未満と5mm以上に二分して頸部転移後発率をみると4% (1/26) と60% (9/15) であった (p<0.05)。術前の深さを知るために最近の17例に対し, 超音波診断を試みた。病変部は明瞭に描出され, 腫瘍の深さはmm単位で計測できた。さらに, 超音波エコーによる病巣の深さ (Y) は病理組織標本上の測定値 (X) とよく相関したことから (Y=0.792X), 術前の超音波エコーで, 深さ6ないしは7mm以上のN0症例は, 選択的頸部郭清を行うべきであると考える。

携帯電話で代表される移動体通信は来年から次世代IMT-2000へと発展している。移動体通信基地局に使用されるフロントエンドの性能向上の中で冷却技術を取り込んだ高温超電導フィルタの利用も、この急激変革を遂げている市場で出番が期待されている。従来材料に比べ、低損失かつ急峻な周波数特性を高温超電導フィルタで実現できるからである。チェビシェフ型と比較し、段数が少なくても急峻なバンドパス特性を実現できる楕円関数型にて高温超電導フィルタを設計製作し、その特性を評価したのでここに報告する。中心周波数は10.5GHz、段数は6段であり、非対称のヘアピン形状であることが特徴である。その結果、対称ヘアピン形状と比較し設計の自由度が増大した。

講演のような話し言葉の書き起こしや音声認識結果を、講演録などのアーカイブとして二次利用する場合、文章として適した形態にする必要がある。本研究では、話し言葉の中で発言の引用が行われている箇所に引用符を自動付与する手法を提案する。機械学習により、まず引用構造をとる節を自動認定し、それらに引用符が必要かどうかを判定する。引用構造の認定では、表層表現や音響的特徴に加え、係り受け情報を利用することで認定精度の改善を図る。引用符付与の判定においては、学習の際に新聞記事コーパスから得られる情報をあわせて利用する。『日本語話し言葉コーパス(CSJ)』に対して、引用符付与の基準を定めた上で本手法の実験的評価を行なった。Transcriptions and speech recognition results of public speaking include many expressions peculiar to spoken language. Thus, it is necessary to transform them into document style for practical use of them. We focus on detecting quotations and enclosing them in quotation marks as written text. Quotations are detected with SVM-based text chunking method that considers information on morphemes, acoustic features, and dependency structures. Then, it is determined whether or not they need to be enclosed in quotation marks by machine learning method using the corpora of spoontaneous speech and newspapers. We defined how to classify quotations and evaluated our method on the Corpus of Spontaneous Japanese (CSJ).

Twitter 上の対話はチャットのログ等とは異なり,発話にはリプライやリツイートといった明示的な形で他の発話と関連していることを示す情報が含まれる場合がある.そのため,これらの情報を積極的に利用することが Twitter 上の発話間の関係を同定する際には重要となる.関係の同定によく用いられている Markov Logic Network (MLN) 上で Twitter 特有の情報を利用し,発話間の関係の有無とその種類の同定を行うモデルを提案する.一方,発話系列には長さに制限がなく非常に長い対話となることもしばしば存在する.このような長い発話に MLN を適用する際に, MLN が大きな問題に対しては計算が困難であることが問題となる.本稿では MLN に対して SVM における動的素性に対応する動的述語を導入することにより,分割した系列に対して近似的に推論が行えるように MLN に対して拡張を行う.

Information Design driven a multi disciplinary research project has been started. It is one of the CREST project funded by JST. In this paper we introduce a framework of the project that is "Platform design and development for creating, sharing and exchanging of people's everyday expressions." Concept of the design from "Marginal Art" by Shunsuke Tsurumi, philosopher, comprehensive views and recomposing functions for reflective thinking on the expressions and communal wisdom of the expressions are introduced as the framework. Acting practical workshops as ways of organizing the research project with multi disciplines for developing these concepts into technological system and cultural program are also discussed.

レンゲ冬作による草生マルチと不耕起を基軸としたLISA水稲直播栽培試験を実施している水田2筆において, レンゲ群落, 発生雑草, および水稲収量の推移を3年間にわたり調査した。またレンゲ草生マルチの夏生雑草に対する抑草効果を評価するためにマルチ除去実験を行った。本栽培試験の初年度はレンゲはよく繁茂し冬生雑草の発生も少なかった。湛水後は, 前年の慣行栽培時に多数発生したコナギが消滅したほか, 他の草種の発生も少なく, また水稲収量も470kg/10a以上を得た。しかし2年目以降, レンゲ群落の衰退に伴い雑草の発生数は著しく増加し, 水稲収量も減少した。しかしレンゲ草生マルチをレンゲ開花期の5月上旬に除去すると, 湛水後に一年生のカヤツリグサ科を主とした水田一年生の雑草密度が顕著に増加したことから, レンゲマルチによる抑草効果が推察された。

本論文では,現在一般的に行われているスライド提示型プレゼンテーション方法論について,その特徴を表す新しい定量的指標を提案する.提案指標は,「準備した順に発表資料を提示しているか」および「発表者と聴衆がどれくらい離れたところを表示しているか」を数値的に表現するものである.この指標を用いることで,プレゼンテーションの改善を図る様々な拡張手法を定量的に評価することが可能となる.さらに,提案手法を算出可能なプラットフォームシステム,Borderless Canvasを開発する.大学院講義における運用を通じて提案指標の算出と可視化例,解釈例を示し,指標の有効性と限界,適切な適用方法を議論する.In this paper we propose quantitative metrics to enable discussing the effectiveness and the limitations of extended methods of slide-based presentation methodology, which is widely used and studied today. We define metrics to estimate such as "how the presenter follows the prepared sequence of topics" and "how the presenter's behavior and every member of the audience's behavior differ." Then we develop a ZUI multi-display discussion software, Borderless Canvas, as a platform for calculating the metrics. The result of a situated datataking in a graduate school class for a semester shows an example usage of the metrics and their interpretation. Based on this, we discuss their effectiveness and limitation to apply them to evaluate extended methods of slide-based presentation methodology.

The Democratic movement of the Taisho period (1912-1925) is one of the most important movements in the development of the democratic trends in modern Japan. The generation who served as the national leaders during the establishment of postwar democracy in Japan were the products of this movement who struggled and survived the pressure of the militaristic fascism. Thus Japanese postwar democracy was not a gift of the US Occupation but was a national product from within. Sakuzo Yoshino, a Christian professor of political science and leading democrat, was the central figure of this movement. Under the Meiji constitution, without denying the Emperor System he worked for the right of the people as much as possible within that framework, having been attacked on both sides by the extreme nationalists and the extreme leftists. First of all, I would like to study and analyze the nature of this attempt of democracy. Secondly, this period is called, at the same time, a period of humanism when Christianity took root in the cultural and social soil of Japan. Having been received within the bosom of the culture and even losing itself in it, Christianity sought to bring about a renewal of the common man and society. The individuals of this type were Inazo Nitobe, Toyohiko Kagawa, and Sakuzo Yoshino. In Yoshino the basis of democracy was definitely Christian faith, and particularly Christian concept of man. I would like to evaluate the understanding of "Man" and its role as the basis of Taisho Democracy.

We describe a case of advanced atrioventricular (AV) block, in which treatment with cilostazol was effective in recovering the AV conduction. The patient was referred to our hospital for close examination of the advanced AV block and permanent pacemaker implantation. Although the patient had experienced third-degree AV block with occasional AV synchrony for more than two days, the AV conduction completely recovered after treatment with oral cilostazol at 200 mg/day. Here we discuss the possible mechanism of the improvement in the AV conduction by cilostazol.
