The effect of the partial substitution of Co for Fe on magnetic properties of Nd-Fe-B alloys have been investigated by a powder metallugical method. The curie temperature in this system increase with the increase of Co content, while the loop squarness of demagnetization curves are deteriorated when the concentration of Co is more than 14 at%. E. P. M. A. data suggest that excessive Co in this system produces a new magnetic phase in the Nd rich region.
