In this paper, relation between rain and disaster was shown. Especially, various problems originating in the uncertainty of the rain observation and their solutions and findings of generation timing of landslide and debris flow due to rainfall were shown. And the relation between rainfall and landslide disaster by using the concept of weathering was described.
