Oral tradition of various genres is well known among the Uygurs of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in China. In particular the anecdote ''Nasiridin Apandi'' has been the most popular through the history of the society. The ''Nasiridin Apandi'' (simply Apandi) has been recited in many fazes of the daily life of the Uygurs and it appeared to be more popular not only in the Uygur society, but also in China and neighbored countries. The article analyses the essential features of the ''Apandi'', lightening the value consiousness of ''laughing'' in the Uygur social life, tries to make clear the ever developing phenomenon of ''Apandi'' anecdote.
