論文(Article)近衛新体制運動の展開に照らして、出版新体制の動きを追う。出版業には出版体制の刷新を官庁に委せず、民間自らの立場から推進しようとする意気込みもあった。新団体創設のための準備委員会と創立委員会には民間業者も参加した。だが、新体制運動の展開を睨んだ官庁側のスケジュールと思惑が優先した。「国家国民ノ大イナル期待ノ下ニ生レタ行政新体制ノ新国家機関」たる情報局の指導監督下におかれる日本文化出版協会もまた、新体制運動の産物であった。The present chapter examines the process of establishment of the integrated association of publishers in December 1940, in the context of the New Order advocated by the Konoe administration in the summer, to demonstrate how devoted government officials took the lead in discussions with publishers, allegedly on equal footing. Some were convinced that their purpose was the same as that of the nation, and yet soon it turned out: the purpose of the nation was what all publishers must observe.
