Recurrent aphthous stomatitis encountered frequently in daily practice, often presents difficulties to oto-laryngologists as well as to the patients.The author studied a total of 32 cases with recurrent aphthous stomatitis by meansof various clinical tests.The author discussed in this paper the etiology of the disease and possiblerelation to Bechet's disease of which 40 to 60% were said to be preceeded by recurrent aphthous stomatitis.
