Using the non-contact drive, the shaft-less centrifugal pump was developed. The most unique characteristics are that there is no shaft and bearing which contact water. The impeller rotates in independent condition without fluids force and magnetic force. Near the design point, the impeller rotates stable, but in low flow rate condition, the impeller can not keep stable. Therefore, the impeller oscillates vertical direction with contacting casing wall. In this study, we tried to control the attitude of floating impeller by use of the casing treatment. As a result, the influences of pump performance and pressure distribution on impeller attitude were made clear.
