This Introduction is Illustrated the Tale of Genji of a pair of six-fold screens of Kyoritsu Women's University Museum. These folding screens have 24scenes that there are「32Umegae」「53Tenarai」「43Koubai」「48Sawarabi」「24Kocho」「05Wakamurasaki」「26Tokonatsu」「45Hashihime」「27Kagaribi」「47Agemaki」「13Akashi」「04Yuugao」 on the right screen and「09Aoi」「39Yuugiri」「02Hahakigi」「50Azumaya」「10Sakaki」「49Yadorigi」「03Utsusemi」「20Asagao」「06Suetsumuhana」「46Shiigamoto」「41Maboroshi」「29Miyuki」 on the left screen. These paintings is put in order the seasons on the folding screens.The scene selection of the folding screens selected a lot from Tosa school's traditional figure, it was summarized by Tosa Mitsuyoshi through Tosa Mitsunobu from the fan papers of Muromachi period. And there is actively selecting scenes preferred by Tosa Mitsunori and Sumiyoshi Jyokei.Although this does not belong to the Tosa school mainstream, it is an artist who was in the Tosa faction or around the Sumiyoshi school, and it could be an artist who was able to learn those figures.
