本稿の目的は,大学生のケータイ・メールによるコミュニケーションでの相手との親密度(親しい友人,それほど親しくない友人,メル友)と自己開示との関連を探索的に明らかにすることであった,その検討のために,茨城県と埼玉県の大学生548名を対象とした調査を2004年1月と2月に実施した.そのうち,542名が分析対象者となり,「メル友がいる」回答した者は106名であった.彼らについて,親しい友人,それほど親しくない友人,メル友それぞれに対する自己開示的なコミュニケーションを一元配置分散分析によって,探索的に明らかした.今回の調査は,基礎的なものと位置づけられ,今後も検討を進めることが必要である.This paper investigates the relationship between intimacy of acquaintaces (close friends, friends who were not so close, and e-mail friends) and self-disclosure in mobile e-mail communication by university students. A survey was conducted in order to investigate the RQs through a written questionnaire during January and February 2004. The subjects were 548 Japanese university students from Ibaraki and Saitama prefecture. The total of valid responses was 542. 106 respondents answered that they have friends that they contact through e-mail. Analysis of variance was utilized for analyzing the data. Further investigation is necessary as the findings in this study are from a preliminary survey.
