A case of true hermaphroditism was reported, in which bilateral ovotestes were found, drumstick was positive in 12 out of 500 polymorphous leukocytes of peripheral blood stream, and the chromosome karyotype was 46 XX.Fifty cases of true hermaphrodites reported in Japan were reviewed and briefly discussed.Grateful acknowledgement is made to Prof. H.
