This paper attempts to consider current issues and future visions of a qualitative study on the lived
experience of people with mental health consumers/survivors/ex-patients. Note that no difference
exists between the collection of data regarding their lived experience and exploitation or plunder.
Though model stories based on their lived experience, they were confined to acceptable stories in society.
If lived experience explains model stories, I fear that social environment may not take diversity
into account, causing not inclusion but exclusion. In future visions, I suggested that researchers
should be cognizant of recognizing diversity, asking a primary research question.“what is it”in order
to discover and give a name again. Another important point is that researchers attempt to adopt
a caring perspective in their studies.
