The consciousness of glasses and the sensory eff ective evaluation of wearing glasses were investigated in October 2008. The objects who answered the questionnaire were 243 female students and the objects who joined the sensory effective evaluation were fifty female students. Two impressively different subjects were selected for this evaluation. The eight glasses that had various shapes of rims were used in this study. One photograph of each subject’s face without glasses and the eight photographs of the face wearing eight glasses were taken. Eighteen Photographs were totally evaluated by fi fty students. Four items for evaluation with fi ve stages were senseless-neat, young-adult, severe-gentle and forbiddingfamiliar. Main results were as follows;1) Many female students wore glasses at homes and wore contact lenses outdoors. Many persons wearing glasses made them feel serious.2) The factor analysis and the cluster analysis revealed that the impression of wearing glasses was infl uenced by round or rectangle and farther by the height of rectangle.3) The oblong and slender glasses were evaluated neat. Those shapes are in fashion.4) The glasses with strong individual characters removed each subject’s character and the impression of wearers became similar.
