The purpose of this study is to clarify the electricity consumption and indoor thermal environment of high thermal insulation in japan. In the analysis, the energy saving performance and indoor thermal environment of the target houses in this study were found to meet any of the G1 to G3 levels recommended by HEAT20. In addition, this study attempts to show more clearly the relationship between house plans and energy consumption creating an energy index that considered the number of household members and the size of the house. As a result of the research, regarding the relationship between the presence or absence of an atrium in the living room and energy consumption, it was confirmed that the air volume of the living room, including the atrium space. And it was suggested that housing plans may have an indirect effect on energy consumption.

For the construction of a new bridge, the Japanese specifications for highway bridges stipulate to select a location or a structure type unaffected by surface rupture.Therefore, it is crucial to predict the amount of displacement caused by the surface rupture in a scenario earthquake. In this study, I revised the relationship between the earthquake magnitude and the maximum surface-rupture displacement. Further, I investigated the relationship between the surface-rupture displacement and the distance from the predicted active faults. Conclusively, I have proposed regression equations for the earthquake magnitudes and surface-rupture displacements that have high-correlational relationship with the strike-slip fault and dip-slip fault, based on the domestic and international earthquake reports. In addition, I have developed a methodology to estimate the largest surface-rupture displacement at arbitrary points.
