The #AtlasV 531 configuration used three @northropgrumman GEM-63 solid fuel boosters. @BYU_PASCAL has been studying the acoustics of the GEM boosters over the past decade: GEM-63: https://t.co/nSAcW1NXx2 GEM-60: https://t.co/QZT4uAC7V9 https://t.co/sY5lUO5w3h
The Delta IV Medium rocket used the ATK (Northrop Grumman) GEM-60 booster. @BYUAcoustics characterized the rocket #noise source region using acoustic intensity: https://t.co/Os9Y4Utt5i Using the results in a forthcoming @ASA_JASA review article on launch vehicle #acoustics. https://t.co/LRiHOpVjAJ

@KentLGee So thicker is and more porous is more absorptive which makes sense. This got into temperature and consistency, but Translate is not doing great, haha. https://t.co/Q1PhgS2a1l I think it’s saying fresh powder is best, and for settled warmer, wetter is better than icy.
