N1 protocol is a computer communication protocol suite that is used in the inter-university computer network called N1 network in Japan. N1 network can not communicate with TCP/IP network. So, α gateway software which makes communication between N1 network and TCP/IP network is desired. This paper proposes a form of the gateway to make session layer communication between those networks and a method to construct the gateway using concurrent task control and Unix's inter-process communication utilities.
