広島大学図書館は平成16年度,プロジェクトチームを組み,「図書館の立場で社会への貢献として何ができるか。」について検討を行い,1.広島大学の図書館活動に理解・関心を持っている人から寄付を募る。2.一定金額以上寄付した人のうち,希望者に特別利用券「フレンドリー利用証」をプレゼントすることを制度化し,平成17年1月末その運用を開始した。また,平成17年7月には図書館内に地域住民等との交流を進める目的で「地域交流プラザ」を開設したのでその報告をする。Hiroshima University Library established a project team in 2004 whose assignment was to consider"what the library's responsibilities were towards society."In this regard, at the end of January2005, they began to(1)collect donations from people who were interested and supportive of HiroshimaUniversity Library activities, and(2)created a system to present special user cards(Friendly UserCards)to donors who had donated above a set amount. In addition, this paper reports on the July 2005opening of the Hiroshima University Library Regional Exchange Plaza.
