1995 年の阪神・淡路大震災時に作成された避難所に関係する文書、復旧に係わる公文書や、 2011 年 3 月以降の東北地方大震災時の関係資料は、将来の災害に備えるための貴重な分析データであり、放置したり秘匿せず、 「教訓」 として分析し活用することが、緊急の課題である。そのために、震災資料を広範に集積し、現代文書であっても忌避せず分析する研究の場が必要である。Documents related to the shelter, archives pertaining to restoration that created during the 1995 great Hanshin-Awaji earthquake, as well as the relevant documents of the Tohoku earthquake created after March,2011, which are valuable data analysis to prepare for the future disasters. It is an urgent issue to analyze and take full advantage of the data as "lessons", without leave or concealment. Therefore, we do need a field of research that we can accumulate earthquake materials extensively and analyze them without evasion even they are contemporary documents.
