This study aims to clarify historic value of Toishi Hachimangu at Toishi in Shunan city. At the same time, we aim to judge that this shine corresponds to Registered Tangible Cultural Properties (buildings). We measured the buildings of this shrine, and made plans, took photographs, and investigated literatures. As the result, we clarified historical details until the completion of buildings of this shrine from 1938 〜 1941 by old books. The designing adviser of this shrine was SUNAMI Takashi who belonged to the department of the interior in 1939. The designer was INAGAKI Hideo. Among buildings of shrine, especially front shrine was designed as Rohaiden which is vernacular style of Yamaguchi. SUNAMI was an architect who respected the venerableness and style of each shrines. He showed his policy on Toishi Hachimangu, too. We concluded this point is its historic value. At the same time, its age and its contribution to the historical scene of national land, we concluded this shrine corresponds to Registered Tangible Cultural Properties (building).
