This report is to establish a foundation study of affirmative use of semi-outdoor space to solve some contemporary social agendas related to aging-society and energy consumptive life. Through the fieldwork of the practical examples in Asia three countries, first year's research obtained 3 categories and 8 remarkable Asian methods of the semi-open space.
