A survey was carried out on the okara-eating preference and its eating habit among 255 femal students at university and college in Hyogo and Osaka in July 2004. Okara was acceptable food for most of the students. But the majority of them ate okara less than 1 or 2 times per year. In terms of cooking, unohana was ranked at the top. Approximately 65% of the students bought dish cooked with okara in the market.
