Lion Head is a long Japanese novel, written by Chinese writer Yang Yi in 2010‒2011. "Lion head" is not just a food but also a symbol. This paper analyzes the meaning of the relationship between lion head and hero. The lion head is a part of the hero, but then became a substitute that replaces the hero's personality. After the hero crossed over the border from China to Japan, the lion head became a mixed one. In the end, the lion head has been lost. In my opinion, Yang Yi is a writer using Japanese language, but she is not a Japanese writer. She imprinted Chinese mark on her Japanese literary creation, and thus make her literature has the characteristics of mixed and cross-border symbols.
