Table tennis is a rare sport where players can use completely different equipment from the opponents, but this is the one of attractions of table tennis. There are various types of table tennis blades, and is the same situation for tennis rackets, golf clubs, etc., but in the case of table tennis, players can put their favorite rubber on these blades and you can customize to different equipment to compete.
