The previous and this chapters are guides for beginners of hardware. Today's advanced technology can get us to make a hand-made computer for our own purpose. Making a computer is not so difficult as many people might think. Hardware is not hard. In this section, I describe the process to develop a hand-made computer by using the equipments which I introduced in the previous chapter. In addition, I discuss the merits and potential of a special-purpose computer.

This and the next sections are guides for begineers of hardware. Today's advanced technology can get us to make a hand-made computer for our own purpose. Making a computer is not so difficult as we think. Hardware is not hard. In this section, I introduce equipment by which even begineers can start on hardware. The cost of the equipment is 500,000- 1,000,000 Japanese yen (5,000- 10,000 U.S. dollars) . Cost of electric parts for a one board sized computer is roughly 500,000 Japanese yen (5,000 U.S, dollars).
