In this paper we discuss the stability characteristics of a laminar jet which has a rectangular velocity profile and is bounded by two planes parallel to the basic flow. It is founed that the neutral stability curve is similar to that of unbounded jet and the critical Reynolds number of the jet increases with reducing distance between plane walls.
