The paddy field has a large area in Japan land and therefore the aerial splay of pesticides causes serious environmental problems. The authors carried out the experiments concerning mainly air pollution of pesticides. This paper displayed some examples of 12 points in various parts. Atmospheric pollution, Water contamination and falling to the ground were examined. As a result of these experiments, it was found that air pollution in the paddy caused by pesticide is evolved from three sources. i) In the operation of spray, the pesticide vaporizes from mist of spray. ii) Under sunshine, the pesticide sublimes from leaves of rice plants. iii) After the pesticide sublimed or flowed douwn, the Air-Water Henry's Law is effective. That is, the highest atmospheric concentration of pesticides from paddys is larger than that from the forests or fields. And the reduction of concentration on the former is faster than that on the latter. This tendency is explained on the above three reasons.

Hydrogen cyanide, one of the most injurious substance, was analyzed selectively by a gas chromatograph equipped with the thermionic nitrogen detector. Samples such as exhaust gas were introduced directly to a 90 cm×2 mm 1D glass column packed with 80/100
