Little attention has been given to the sexuality of disabled persons, although it is a crucial part of their personal self-identity. The issue of masturbation, in particular, has completely been ignored by the study of disability. Whether or not should disabled men be helped to masturbate? If they should be helped, who should help them, and how? In order to explore these questions, the present study made long unstructured interviews with two carers who have experience in helping disabled men to masturbate, that is, "masturbation aid". The study concludes that these two carers distinguish the "masturbation aid" clearly from other bodily aid or care for disabled men.
