The source of Yari-no-Gonza Kasane Katabera was the vengence of a woman over Koma Bridge in Osaka on July 17th of the second year of Kyoho. Soon after, the event was played for Kabuki. We could know at least four plays and the cast for two of them. The one was Yumenoukihashi Mukui no Yaiba at Hoteiya in Kyoto and the other was the one with unknown title at Sounza. It was notable that the woman enemy was acted by the acter of a villain. We could see the common charactristic with Chikamatsu's Johruri on husband's or relative's tragedy.
