For international students seeking employment, the job placement test is a major hurdle. One type of question checking non-verbal proficiency question were designed to measure Japanese reading comprehension and so foreign students find them very difficult. The question is whether the problem lies in their reading comprehension or math ability. As a first step to check this, author propose to a test survey of Chinese students using a translation of the original Japanese version of the mathematical questions. Then, we will verify whether the difficulty of the problems is the same in both languages, and whether the order in which the problems are presented has an order effect.
