ES-D3 cells and mouse iPS (Induced Puripotent Stem ) cells were cultured by employing an embryonic stem cell differentiation technique using the Embryonic Stem Cell Test (EST). The differentiation rate into myocardinal cells was examined using SWCNT and MWCNT. The differentiation rate with MWCNT was not marked in either cell type, but was moderate with SWCNT. This discrepance may have been due to the difference in thickness between the two carbon nanotubes.
