This paper attempts to introduce briefly the activities of a certain school of pencak silat, a kind of martial arts practiced all over Indonesia. Adding to this aim, the author attempts to examine whether or not the argument of "craft language" discussed by students of Japanese traditional performing arts could be able to be applied for this martial art from Indonesia. In the practice of pencak silat, coaches use some kinds of unique expressions using language mainly during the practice of breathing techniques. These expressions, however, are different from "craft language" in the strict sense. This is because coaches use these expressions for the purpose of students' meeting their own "correctness".
