In the period of the Mongol Empire, Ju-ren儒人 (or Ju-hu 儒戸) had scholarly talent, so they were treated very well, and exempted from labor tax.In early times, namely under the rule of Emperor Ogudei窩闊台, the privilege was given to family Ju-hu, but later, namely under that of Emperor Monke蒙哥, to each person Ju-ren.
