The purpose of this study is to define the identities of occupational therapists' inrelation to that of nurses. The author explores three points as background for thestudy; 1. Occupational therapy is considered as part of nursing practice. 2. Theprocesses in clinical practice differ between nurses and occupational therapists. 3. The roles of nurses and occupational therapists in the convalescent rehabilitationward differ. The author concludes with no apparent reason to distinguish theidentities of occupational therapists' and nurses.
