本稿の目的は、保育現場における質の高い音楽教材・歌唱曲の選択という課題に対して、「音楽教育の会」の実践・事例・教材曲を紹介し、考察を試みることである。1957年に発足した「音楽教育の会」は、日本における音楽教育の新しい内容と方法を確立するため民間教育団体である。年代の異なる3つの歌集に着目し、掲載されている曲目を比較検討した。曲にどのような思いを込めるのか、何を感じ、何を味わうのか、子どもの育ちとどのようにつながるのか、保育者自身の十分な理解が必要であり、子どもが「歌う喜び」を感じられるような教材の研究、保育者の援助が求められてくる。音楽教材の選択と子どもの育ちは、保育者の意識によるところも大きい。The purpose of this thesis is to introduce practices, examples, cases, and music used as teaching materials, regarding the problem of selecting high-quality music teaching materials and songs at child care sites, and to attempt to examine it. The “Association of Music Education” is a private educational organization that was established in 1957 to criticize the current situation of music classes that tended to overemphasize techniques and establish new content and methods. It focused on three anthologies from different ages and compared and evaluated the published musical numbers. It is necessary for the child care workers to have a full understanding regarding what kind of feelings will be expressed in the song, what the children will feel, what they will experience, and how it will connect with their growth. Research of teaching materials which children can feel the “joy of singing” and the support of child care workers are required. The selection of music materials and the children’s growth also greatly depends on the awareness of the child care workers.
