The purpose of this report is to make clear the history in early Australia and of Australian English. In 1788, many convicts were transported to NSW, which was the first place that Britain decided to send them there. In those days British criminals were transported to colonies in America, but the Americans declared independent. As a result of this, there were no places to imprison them. They were the founders of the English colony and Australian English. The varieties of English spoken by the early British and Irish immigrants promoted development and foundation of Australian English. There was much influence of Irish English upon it.
