The aim of this paper is to emphasize the importance of collocation, and at the same time to give new recognition of the teaching of vocabulary. Considering the burden upon learners to learn vocabulary, I believe that learning words in collocation ( for example, eikyo o ataeru, kaoi ocha, kanousei ga takai, and gussuri neru) is most effective and time-saving. I shall propose to eatablish paradigmatic sets which will contribute to the systematic method of teaching words in collocations.
