This paper investigates role of humming sound in the healing process by Bhramari Pranayama (BP) which has been recommended, in many literatures on yoga, for removing stress and healing many mental abnormalities and has also been claimed to be recuperative for the same by many practitioners. Pranayama is a Sanskrit word which literally means a yogic act performed for controlling flow of vital energy in the body and mind. One of the main acts during doing BP is that subject imitates humming sound of bumble bee while exhaling. The analysis of the humming sound produced during pranayama shows a little variation in pitch confined within lower frequencies with concentration of energy in the lower frequency bands. Nasal formants are also present. The humming sound has also vibrato. It is hypothesized that such sound produces not only bone conducted audition but also vibration in cranium and changes in the brainwave patterns leading to relaxation and healings.

In this paper, we present a visual navigation method in an indoor GPS environment using D* Lite and fuzzy motion planning for humanoid robots. First, we estimate the location of the robot using an inner GPS(iGPS). A global path is searched considering the direction to the goal based on D* Lite planning method. A fuzzy motion planner finds feasible locomotion primitives to track the global path. It selects an optimal primitive depending on a distance between the path and the humanoid robot and an angle difference between a tangent angle of the path and a pointing angle of the robot. Fuzzy motion planner also decides that selected primitive can be applied to the walking motion of humanoid. If it is feasible, a humanoid robot executes locomotion primitives in order to navigate to the goal along the path. We verify our approach through the navigation experiments by using a developed small humanoid robot. The experimental results demonstrate that the humanoid robot can navigate fast and stably to the goal.

Recently, Genetic Algorithm has been studied as an effective approach for large scale optimization problems. However, we have issues of early convergence and settings of many parameters in the GA approach. In order to deal with such issues, parameter free genetic algorithm(PfGA) and distributed genetic algorithm(DGA) were proposed. In this paper, we propose a distributed parameter free genetic algorithm(DPfGA) that keeps parameter free characteristic and improves efficiency of optimization. Besides the distributed construction of GA, we propose the method varying the number of offspring adaptively in accordance with the current performance of optimization. We show effectiveness of the algorithm through application of the algorithm to TSP(Travelling Salesman Problem).

Cloud computer technologies are advanced better, and web service like IaaS is used as businesses for its easiness and flexibility. But people concern about security on the cloud service and still feel resident to storing enterprise data in external server. So people interest in private cloud environment. In this paper, we evaluate private cloud system including Eucalyptus, an open-source software implementation of cloud computing system like Amazon EC2. Evaluations are about basic performance, management and recovery, web application performance for this system. Finally, we conclude if limited to small-scale, enterprise private infrastructure for short time use, it can be a good private cloud system
