近年、金沢大学資料館では、年間5回以上の企画展(学生企画展、特別展、アウトリーチ展を含む)を実施している。それらが功を奏し、年々来館者数は増加しており、昨年度は史上最多の年間8,990人の来館を記録した。平成元年の開館から10年間は、年間来館者数200~300人程度だった状況から考えると、これは驚異的な数字である。しかし、ここ数年の伸びについては、平成28年度に当館が博物館相当施設に指定されたこと、平成29年度に当館所蔵の加賀藩校扁額が金沢市の有形文化財に指定されたことなど、来館者が増えるような出来事が続いたことが少なからず影響しているものと思われる。そのような流れの中で今年度(平成30年度)は、資料館として特別大きな動きはなく、来館者数を維持ないし増加させるにはさらなる活動展開が必要となった。そこで今年度、金沢大学資料館初の試みとして、筆者が小学生向けの考古学ワークショップを企画した。当初、他の歴史系博物館や埋蔵文化財センターの事例を参考に、石器作り体験やガラス玉作り体験、機織り体験、縄文施文体験、拓本体験など、様々なワークショップ案を検討したが、資料館所蔵考古資料との関連付けや筆者の学術的専門性、ワークショップの実施費用などを勘案して、今回は縄文時代の編物を題材とすることにした。以下、本論では、その内容と成果、今後の課題などについて具体的に記す。

This paper examines the origin of a postcard addressed to AKEGARASU Haya (暁烏敏), which was inserted in the “Daitoyochizu Sakuin (大東輿地図索引)” in AKEGARAU BUNKO (暁烏文庫:Collection of books by AKEGARASU HAYA), and the information obtained from it. As a result of the investigation, it was found that this postcard was sent to AKEGARASU Haya on November 29, 1936, from OTANI Shoshin (大谷勝眞), a professor of law and literature at Keijo (京城) Imperial University and a priest of Shinshu sect Otani school. The main purpose of the postcard was for OTANI to inform AEGARASU that the distribution of “Chosenshi (朝鮮史:History of Korea)” by the Society for the Editing of Korean History, as requested by AKEGARASU when he visited Keijo, had been realized. By investigating the background of this postcard, we can obtain information about the Oriental historian OTANI Shoshin, information about the distribution of “Chosenshi”, as well as information about AKEGARASUʼs friendships and his book-collecting process. In this sense, this postcard is a valuable resource that will contribute to these studies.
