In this paper, we discuss how individuals who are information consious change organizations by using information technology in a conservative booksellers association.We use three key concepts within this study; (1) alt.elites who counter authority with information technology, (2) legitimatization which is the dynamic mechanism distinguishing the self from others and authorizing it, and (3) organizational change which means the organizing among individuals who communicate each other continuously in the turbulent environment.In the organization, we find two types of the alt.elites; one is the normative and the other is the mimetic one. The former introduced information technology to the association and the latter accelerated the use of it, and both of them changed the organization one after another.
