Podostroma daisenense DOI et UCHIYAMA, sp. nov. was found from Mt. Houki-Daisen, Tottori Pref., Japan. This species is related to P.africanum BOEDIJN in the morphology of stroma and partspore, but it differes from the latter mainly in much smaller partspores, perithecial and hyphae of stromal tissue.
