Changes in numbers, recruitment of new individuals, survival of residents, cohort structure and sex ratios of small rodents were examined for colonized populations in the areas from which individuals were removed in advance in the early spring of 1984 and 1985. For <i>Clethrionomys rufocanus bedfordiae, Apodemus argenteus</i> and <i>A. speciosus ainu</i>, these demographic variables did not differ much from those of control populations.
