We have developed a new analog signal processor IC for 2X DVD playback system. In this IC, frequency characteristics of equalizer can be adapted to playback rate by micro-processor. Tracking error signal can be generated by 3 methods-DPD (Differential Phase Ditection) method, 3 spot method and push-pull method. DPD block can remove offset caused by object lens shift, regardless of pit depth.
