We developed interactive broadcasting system named "Nyafu Nyafu Douga". Using this system, viewer can watch broadcast and post comments at the same time. We put this system into practice in University of Tsukuba school festival.

In order to investigate the TV receiving circumstance, we have observed the wave intensities on this UHF TV frequency band at the Tsubata town since May 2005. As a result, the receiving antennas sometimes measured the broadcasting waves of the Matsue city over the Japan Sea.

TWINSCAM is a camera system that synthesizes the two images shot with two cameras above the surface of the water and below the surface of the water at the side of the swim pool. And it achieved a new effect of the images in live TV programs of synchronized swimming.

2013年2月15日にロシアに落下した隕石の映像に、UFOが映りこんでいるというものが、ロシア国営テレビのニュースに流され、日本でも話題となったが、分析の結果この映像はガラス面での光の屈折に過ぎないことが明らかとなった。部分的映像拡大に伴うノイズが出ているなどさまざまな映像的特徴が分かるにもかかわらず国営機関すらだまされてしまったことは、映像に関する教育の不足が原因と考えられる。映像情報を判断するための教育が急務であると考える。

We propose the prototype of Head Mounted Display using Holographic Optical Element. A single HOE can separate the stereoscopic images onto the left and right eyes by its characteristics, that is angular selectivity and wavelength selectivity. We prototyped the HMD that has miniaturization, lightening, wide filed of vision.

We have developed the compact high resolution CRT for HDTV viewfinder. By using phosphor thin-films, the horizontal resolution of 900 TV lines was obtained by optimizing the device structure of CRTs and the growth condition of phosphor thin-films.

We studied about the basic processing method to give intended emotional feelings to the calm voices. We focused on change of the spectral characteristics of vowels between the calm voices and the emotional one. So, we examined statistically about the difference of vowel's power and F0. The result showed typical trend about "power" factor in the provided 2 parameters. We propose a primitive speech processing method to control the vowel's spectrum to convert the speech type (=quality) from the calm to the emotional expression.

Along with the installation of a large number of relay stations for digital terrestrial broadcasting, co-channel interference occur in part of service area. As a countermeasure against co-channel interference, we have developed an interference canceller using adaptive array technology and have experimental omparisons of a Pre-FFT type canceller and a Post-FFT type one in a real field.

It is known that preference of some photographs is improved by adding noise. We propose "Memory texture" as a reason for the improvement of preference by the noise addition. "Memory texture" is the texture reproduced when we imagine the object. We investigated differences between real texture and memory texture by subjective evaluation of images added noise. Except as to potato image, memory textures were always not smaller than the real texture. Preferred textures were very close to the short-term memory texture in most objects.

In this research, to represent a windshield in the heavy rain to separate the windshield to mesh, adding up the rainfall for each partition. In addition, to implement the drainage by the wiper to provide the mesh to move along with the wiper in front of the wiper.

There are many rendering techniques using point-based super-sampling. By the super-sampling, more sampling gets more quality. But how many samples do we need? We can only estimate this from statistics. In this research, we introduce a new concept Micro point. Using the Micro point, we get aliasing free images without super-sampling.

広島で毎年1月に行われる「全国都道府県対抗男子駅伝」は、今年で第6回目を向かえたが、移動車からの伝送に使用している800MHzのFPUがアナログからデジタルへとシステムも大きな変化を遂げた。この変化とともに変わってきた駅伝中継について報告する。
