"Yamasato" is the place where the many villas of Aristocratics in Heian period were built. And it had been recognized as an aesthetical world. Then, in this paper, I tried to make clear it's beauty and foundmental image through the Heian Period Literature. Contents are as follows; 1. Preface 2. Geographical image of Yamasato 3.
