The present report described the general biology concerning the apple snail, Pomacea canaliculata. It contains following items : 1) Mass culture methods with water tanks, 2) Feeding habits, 3) Nutrition problems, 4) Structures of the mouth-parts including the jaw-teeth and the radula, 5) Discriminating methods between female and female, 6) Reproductive systems in male and female, 7) Copulation and egg-laying, 8) Imposex phenomenon by organotin, 9) The central nervous system and 10) The hormonal system including the gonads and the hepatopancreas on reproduction.
