This research examined perceived-being-accepted and perceived-being-rejected in depressive processes. There are two hypotheses and one assumes perceived-being-accepted and perceived-being-rejected as causes participating in depression. Another presupposes that they are the phenomena as results which accompany to depressive process. Then, the author, adjusting the influence of the depression to precede (time 1), examined the influence which perceived-being-accepted and perceived-being-rejected (time 2) have on later depression (time 3). 260 undergraduates participated in three times research. In the result of partial correlation analysis, adjusting the influence of the depression to precede perceived-being-accepted and perceived-being-rejected predicted later depression. It suggested that perceived-being-accepted and perceived-being-rejected would be the causes of depression.
