It is necessary for pupils and students to receive authentic musical experiences in the classroom. Here "authentic" means to be able to discover a new musical world not previously experienced. Generally musical activity is simply singing and listening, but we think it is very important to have creative musical experiences in the music classroom beyond this. Pupils buy their instruments in the music stores at the beginning of the class. To provide a more authentic musical experience we have tried to have pupils and students make instruments in the classrooms. We would like to propose that making musical instruments increases motivation to play and listen to music.
